Description
The Unicoi County Public Library is the only public library facility serving the 17,000 persons living in the county. We are a full-service library, with a wide range of services and programs for children, adults, and senior citizens. We provide literacy programs and computer classes. We also provide home delivery of materials to home-bound seniors.
The library is a member of the Watauga Regional Library, and is fully integrated with the other public libraries in Northeast Tennessee. We share a common catalog, management system, and regional courier system. We circulate books, videos, audios, and downloadable audio/e-books. We have 10 patron access computers served by high-speed internet.
We have 1 full time staff person, and 3 part-time staff. We utilize approximately 50 volunteers in our services.
