Description

Banner Casa Grande Medical Center (BCGMC) is a full-service, community-owned, nonprofit hospital committed to providing quality health care to the Casa Grande Valley in a caring and compassionate environment.

In 2004, its 20th year anniversary, BCGMC completed a $25 million expansion to its facility and service lines to meet the growing needs of the rapidly developing areas of Casa Grande and its surrounding communities. In this expansion, CGRMC doubled its Intensive Care Unit to accommodate 22 patients. A new patient tower was also built adding 56 patient rooms designed to utilize the latest in medical technology while keeping comfort for patients and their visitors a priority. This growth brought BCGMC's capacity for providing patient care to 201 private patient rooms from 116. In November 2005, the hospital opened CGRMC Urgent Care located at 1676 E. McMurray Blvd. in Casa Grande.

As a result of the expansion, a lineup of new services is available at BCGMC. These services give the community more convenient access to the latest procedures and equipment in acute rehabilitation, outpatient behavioral health, cardiac catheterization and a wound care center featuring hyperbaric chambers. Other services recently introduced include inpatient behavioral health, a center for sleep disorders and pain management center.

Some of our more established services are 24-hour emergency care with physician coverage, air and ground ambulance, a recently remodeled surgery unit that also offers outpatient surgery, a GI lab with state-of-the-art endoscopy suite, a full-service laboratory, angiography, remodeled post anesthesia recovery unit, nuclear medicine, pediatric and obstetric care with 24-hour epidural services, physical therapy, respiratory therapy, stereotactic breast biopsy, diabetes education, anticoagulation (Coumadin clinic) and a cardiopulmonary rehabilitation program. Our medical imaging department offers the latest in digital imaging such as digital x-ray, new 16-slice CT scan, MRI, echo, ultrasound and vascular imaging. BCGMC is also proud to serve as a base station for the emergency medical services in Pinal County.

Casa Grande Regional Medical Center is accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations, JCAHO. This means that we voluntarily submit to evaluations of our compliance with nationwide hospital standards on a continuing basis. Joint Commission accreditation is your assurance that Casa Grande Regional Medical Center practices continuous quality monitoring to provide you with quality health care.

I recommend them because if you like to work with people you can that and if you do not like to work with people; you do not have work with people, they have clerical work also. Since this is a non-profit your service is very much needed but not always appreciated by grumpy stressed out staff. They get grumpy due to patients being grumpy by being sick; but I have never had problems with grumpy patients. I enjoy working with patients and the patients seem to enjoy my efforts. The shifts are 4 hours long and you always work the same day and hours. You min need to be there at least once a week and have to go thur 8 hour orientation. I hope more people volunteer on the patient floors because the techs are spread thin and they have positive attitudes for the most part. In all, in all this is a good place to volunteer. You can go to the web site and get more info and to fill out an app.
