Mission Statement

The Meals on Wheels Foundation's mission is to gain support, both in charitable donations and other funding, for the provision of nutritious meals to older adults in Cook, Grundy and Kendall Counties of Illinois. Additionally, the Foundation works to increase public awareness of the need for this type of service.

Description

Works with the Community Nutrition Network to provide nutritious meals to older adults in Cook, Grundy and Kendall Counties of Illinois. These are primarily provided through two major programs: Home Delivered Meals (Meals on Wheels) and Group Dining (24 sites). We also provide weekend meals to those who require them; and, have recently initiated a program providing meals to older adults living in Cook County housing programs.
