Mission Statement
The social mission of WOS is to educate, train and hire young adults and militart Veterans from underserved populations throughout the U.S. and to place them within companies as outsourced IT consultants. Moreover, by offering opportunities to those individuals who may otherwise not have the wherewithal to afford the requisite training and education, WOS facilitates the personal, professional and financial independence of WOS students and provides them with "ladders of ascent" to help them grow in their careers into management and ownership positions.
Description
WOS trains young adults and post 911 veterans in the skills necessary to perform various job activities in a corporate environment. Our training programs not only cover technical skills e.g. Java programming, web development, database development, business analysis, quality assurance etc., it also covers soft skills as well i.e. business writing and communication, mentoring, project management etc. We offer support both in the classroom as well as on the job site so that participants can get the most support.
