The mission of Family Connects is to increase the capacity of families and providers to support the developmental, behavioral, and health needs of young children.

Description

Family Connects provides several prevention and intervention programs to families with children under 6 years old in Weld County. The two main programs, Parents as Teachers (PAT) and Home Instruction for Parents of Preschool Youngsters (HIPPY), are international evidence-based prevention programs emphasizing the vital parental role in setting the stage for their child’s school readiness. These programs utilize a home visitor model with research informed curriculum and activities that promote overall development including motor skills, language, intellect, and socio-emotional skills.
