SAFY of Texas, established in 1994, is a not-for-profit (501)(c)(3) that provides treatment foster care and adoption services. It was established on the premise that each child is entitled to a caring and stable living environment. However, due to a variety of factors such as abuse and neglect, many young people are in need of alternative living arrangements and treatment services. SAFY provides homes for difficult to place youth in need of substitute care. In order to accomplish this goal, SAFY recruits and trains treatment foster parents to provide guidance and a structured family environment.
