Description

We are a residential recovery home for men. Our house, built in 1929, hosts 16 men up to one year while they work toward recovery. No one is turned away from McIntyre House for lack of funds. McIntyre House depends on the generosity of community volunteers in our house to keep our program running.

The organization needed assistance installing QuickBooks on their server and I was able to assist them. I found everyone at McIntyre House to be polite, trusting and accommodating. I like their mission. They give their patrons a sense of purpose and that's GREAT because everyone wants to be valued.

I've been a supporter of McIntyre House for years. They have one of the best and effective recovery programs in the LA area. I've known a number of men whose lives have been saved and become productive members of the sober community in LA. Ed Kohler, who administers the program does so with a no nonsense approach that is loving and compassionate. The House is comfortable and clean and centrally located. LA City College is in walking distance, as are the Metro and bus lines. No one is turned away due to lack of ability to pay. They do great work here.
