Mission Statement

SOCK is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to helping youth develop their personal assets through programs based on best practices involving mentoring, education, employment, nutrition and recreation. SOCK also provides emergency relief and temporary case management.

Description

We operate a youth center out of the old National Guard Armory building in Shelton. We have an evening recreation program, an after-school educational & recreational program, and a mentoring program for youth who are at-risk of failing academically. We are a 9 year old organization and have served nearly 3,800 youth in our small rural town of Shelton.
