Peter Koutoujian for Congress, a Special Election Campaign in Massachusetts, seeks Grassroots Organizing Fellows to begin immediately and to join our accelerated fall fellowship program.
Peter Koutoujian is running to serve the families of Massachusetts' 5th District in the United States House of Representatives, in the Special Election for the seat recently vacated by Senator Ed Markey. A longtime leader in the Massachusetts State Legislature on health care, victim's rights, and public safety, Peter currently serves as Sheriff of Middlesex county, a position he was appointed to by Governor Deval Patrick in 2011 and won election to in 2012. A strong progressive voice and a deep believer in the importance of grassroots campaigning, Peter invites young people and people of all ages to join the campaign's fellowship program and play an integral role in his pathway to victory.
About the Fellowship:
While learning from an experienced staff team of alumni from the Obama, Markey, Warren, Patrick, and Kennedy campaigns, as well as the Massachusetts Democratic Party, fellows will build skills in volunteer recruitment, team building, data management, and online organizing. The Fellowship is an opportunity to learn campaign tactics, participate in regular trainings, and join campus and community based teams in building an organization to carry out voter outreach and persuasion.
In addition to Field Organizing, fellows with specialized interests in Press, Operations, Digital Media, Fundraising, and Photo/Video can also be accommodated.
