Mission Statement
MDA is a voluntary health organization. Almost all of its funding comes from private donations raised throughout the year. The Association receives no government funding; United Way funds or fees from those it serves. Adults, children and their families affected by any of 43 neuromuscular diseases, benefit from an array of services, research and other programs, which MDA offers at no cost regardless or ability to pay.
Description
MDA SUMMER CAMP
MDA Summer Camp is a one week residential (overnight) camp for kids with neuromuscular diseases. MDA covers 43 different neuromuscular diseases. There are 90 MDA Summer Camps nationwide. Campers must be 6 years of age but not to exceed 21 years of age. There are campers with a variety of diabilities & prognosis, some us wheelchairs, leg braces, scooters and some campers walk on their own. MDA provides complete training, there is no experience necessary.
MDA Summer Camp is at Camp Joy in Clarksville, OH. The date is August 4th-11th, 2006.
