Mission Statement

Nibakure Children's Village (NCV) will provide orphaned children of Rwanda with safe housing, a foster family, healthcare, education, and career training. Our mission to the children of Rwanda is to "let them grow, give them hope" (Nibakure).

Description

The concept of NCV is to develop a village (orphanage) that will be home to 150 children ages 8 to 18 years old and will include a school, health clinic, non-denominational Christian chapel, a multi-purpose room, and a playground. Consisting of "family" homes, children will be raised by "mothers" and "aunts" who are widowed women that are not related to the children, yet are committed to their care. There will be a 10:2 ratio (mother and aunt to ten children). The village will be run by a supervisor and his family who will also live on-site. NCV's desire is to build bridges for a unified and globalized Rwanda.
