Description

The Jones Memorial Community Center is located on the East Side of Chicago Heights, IL. The majority of the residents that we serve are low-income familes. Our two after-school programs target students from School districts 170 and 206. Every day, children come to our center, for homework help, fun and games, a snack, and also dinner. We also have a bilingual computer class that meets every Friday. Senior citizens of the community can join our Golden Agers Club. Each month we have a specail luncheon for them, they receive a monthly news letter, and they attend various field trips throughout the year. The Center also has a pantry, and a clothing room that we fill from donations. Persons in need can get one abag of groceries a month and go to our clothing room if needed.
