Mission Statement

African Child Care Association, Inc. provides assistance, support and education to children, in Sub-Saharan Africa, infected with HIV and affected by AIDS. We help those kids to meet their diverse and special needs and to bring joy and fun into their lives and the lives of their loved ones.

In order to slow and reverse the spread of HIV/AIDS infections, and lessen its impacts on African children, we provide direct assistance where needed, reinforce the capacity of families and communities to support, protect, and care for the children, and finally increase awareness about HIV/AIDS epidemic, its transmission, as well as its prevention among youth.

Description

African Child Care Association (ACCAINC) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization based in Atlanta, GA. Since 2000, African Child Care Association, Inc. is working to bring hope to orphans and other vulnerable children who are affected by HIV/AIDS infections, and those who have been abandoned by their families.

Our goal is to increase awareness about HIV, its transmission, and its prevention among youth residing in Sub-Saharan Africa, in order to shape their commitment and abilities to avoid or reduce behaviors that put them at risk for HIV/AIDS infections.

Our objectives are to teach teenagers safer sex strategies and risk reduction information through a series of interactive theatrical presentation workshops to be conducted every year; moreover, to conduct some one-in-one weekly outreach sessions, reaching a number of unduplicated individuals aged 12-21 who live in sub-Saharan Africa.
