The mission of the Pamela Smith Foundation, Inc. is to advocate for and implement programs that are dedicated to making positive contributions to the lives of incarcerated women; promote economic advancement and self-sufficiency of women; and build healthy, confident, secure, and connected women, children, families, and communities.
The Pamela Smith Foundation, Inc. is dedicated to providing intervention, education, training and support services for incarcerated women, paroled and their families. We provide one-on-one counseling, mentoring and support services, transportation, employment assistance, and educational workshops. On going services are also offered after release/paroled. In response to the increasing pleas from the incarcerated women, Pamela served, she developed a structured curriculum for the delivery of services. The My Turning Point Program is a 13 week intervention program for incarcerated and released women being offered. Weekly, Pamela takes clothing, personal hygeine items, food, and bus passes to incarcerated women. The program also provides transporation for the incarcerated women to job interview, church, work, doctor visits and funerals. The program is also support for familes of incarcerated women by mentoring during times of sorrow, or helping to furnish school clothing for school aged kids.
