Description
Founded in 1983, Clinica Romero provides primary health care services to more than 15,000 individual patients annually. At Clinica Romero, health care is considered a right for all human beings; it is not for a privileged few.
Clinica provides health care services to poor and uninsured people. It also emphasizes the importance of preventative medicine, teaching its own patients how to manage their chronic diseases, better their diets, assists with family planning, and provides testing and counseling for HIV and STDs.
Clinica Romero also operates a community center to help organize the people and agencies surrounding the clinic to advocate for healthier communities.
