Mission Statement

"To help solve the challenges facing various communities in Ghana and develop realistic, appropriate and proficient solutions to these challenges. This would be tackled through the development of appropriate sustainability projects, advocacy, education, education, training and infrastructural facilities. This in the lengthy term, will protect, restore the quality of human life and development in communities. To endow with a whole range of cross cultural programmes and hold up services to students, youth, educators, volunteers, institutions, and supporters of P.Y.V.O.-Ghana."

P.Y.V.O-Ghana is a non-partisan, non-religious and non profit making registered charity organization in Kumasi - Ghana with the following agencies in Ghana. Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly (KMA), social Welfare of Ghana, Registrar Generals Dept., and National Youth council of Ghana. The organization provides meaningful and affordable service projects, volunteer placement, exchange programs for individuals, high schools, colleges, universities, cultural and academic programs, volunteer and travel programs, educational trip etc.

I have worked with PYVO for nearly two months now and loved each minute of it. The people are so friendly and daily I am handed challenges that engage me within my project. I have helped to create a new place for the orphans we care for in a local village just outside Kumasi. I plan to continue to build awareness of PYVO so that while I am here I can share the same experience with other volunteers. Not every day is easy, but all of them are rewarding.
