Mission Statement

To enrich and enhance the quality of life for North Texas-area residents, especially families and children, through free concerts of classical music and educational performances.

Description

Fine Arts Chamber Players (FACP) provides free classical music concerts and performances by professional classical musicians from the Dallas Symphony, The Dallas Opera Orchestra, the Fort Worth Symphony, and area university faculties. FACP has been providing dynamic concerts of classical chamber music and educational performances with no admission charge since 1981.

Our educational outreach group, Dream Collectors, promotes education through local professional musicians and actors who combine live music and theater in programs that explore such diverse topics as dyslexia, personal responsibility and multiculturalism. This troupe has performed concerts for over 160,000 North Texas-area school children at no charge to the students or schools.

Our master classes present professional musicians to middle school students, providing the benefits of private instruction and the inspiration and guidance that musical mentors can provide. The Music A to Z program fills a need for music education at the kindergarten level, including instrument demonstration in a fun classroom setting.

Concerts take place on weekend afternoons (daytime!) for concerts and weekdays for school performances. FACP holds its free performances at the Dallas Museum of Art, Texas Discovery Garden in Fair Park, and North Texas elementary schools.

FACP is managed as a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization by its Artistic Director and Executive Director under the direction of the FACP Board of Directors, an outstanding group of volunteer community leaders.
