Mission Statement

The mission of Sirenian International is to support the long-term conservation of manatee and dugong populations around the world through research, rescue and rehab, educational outreach, and inter-cultural collaboration.

Description

Since 1998, SI has been committed to raising awareness of endangered manatee and dugong populations. Through a grassroots network of dedicated professionals, we work to advance scientific knowledge about manatees, dugongs, and their aquatic habitats by educating the public and supporting research, conservation, and capacity building projects around the world.
