Description
Peer Power is the Prevention Department at Adapt. The Prevention Department was started in 1982 and took on the Peer Power name in 2009.
From the beginning, substance abuse prevention has been a primary part of what we do at Peer Power. We have added problem gambling prevention, suicide prevention, child abuse prevention, and bullying prevention. In addition we work with community partners to assist in their efforts in tobacco prevention and violence prevention.
Peer Power also works in several coalitions on issues such as child abuse prevention, substance abuse prevention, suicide prevention, and creating a healthy active community.
