We bring groups of students, family, and adults to the ranch to learn about prairie ecology, migratory birds, ranching culture, and food systems.

Description

The Chico Basin Ranch is an 87,200-acre family-managed cattle ranch owned by the Colorado State Land Board and operating on the high prairie of eastern Colorado. We use age-old ranching practices, progressive grazing management, and innovative business strategies to maintain healthy lands and profitable, rewarding livelihood.
