Mission Statement
To build and support high quality programs and facilities that promote access to rowing, excellence in rowing, and use rowing as a means to foster physical activity, health, leadership, and community engagement.
In pursuit of this mission, GPRF has the following goals:
Increase access to high-quality rowing facilities in the Northwest.
Promote, support and develop innovative rowing and rowing-related programs.
Provide thought leadership and educational support for the development of rowing and the coaching of rowing.
Provide governance and oversight to ensure the sustainability and operational success of the Pocock Rowing Center, GPRF’s community rowing center.
Ensure the rowing Foundation’s long-term financial, human resource and operational sustainability.

WHAT WE DO
Youth InitiativesRow to the Future (RttF) is a youth development initiative of the George Pocock Rowing Foundation that uses rowing to inspire youth to become healthy and active members of their communities. LEARN MORE
Competitive TrainingThe Pocock Rowing Center, the GPRF’s community rowing center, provides opportunities for juniors, masters, and elite athletes to compete in regional, national, and international competition. The PRC’s High Performance Team is the Northwest’s premier training program for elite level athletes. LEARN MORE
Coaching DevelopmentThe Kossev Consortium is the GPRF’s coaching development program that brings world leading applied sciences and technology to the art of rowing. LEARN MORE
Venue DevelopmentThrough advocacy and sharing expertise, the GPRF hopes to bring a year-round, world-class rowing course that will attract major rowing events and provide economic opportunity and development for the state of Washington. The GPRF also advocates for the building of boathouses and increasing rowing access throughout the region. LEARN MORE
