Los Angeles Foundation on Aging

Description

This non-profit foundation will be utilized to establish fundraising efforts for senior and caregiver services as the City faces a challenging fiscal environment and the increasing need for social services for seniors and their caregivers. Core activities of the foundation will include: fundraising to supplement existing programs (home delivered meals, care management, the Emergency Alert Response Program, Multipurpose Senior Center Bases Paratransit, Caregiver Support Programs, and In-Home services), community based research and needs assessment with an emphasis on establishing best practices, provide needed material resources and expertise; support programmatic, capacity building and allow for a wider community presence and educational grants, scholarship and fellowship programs.
Fundraising activities are anticipated to include direct campaigns, donations and grants.
