Mission Statement

The mission of The Flint Academy is to provide an education in the classical tradition for all students regardless of their learning needs, integrated with a Christian worldview, having the Scriptures at the center, and presented in a family oriented, nurturing environment.

Description

The Flint Academy recognizes that your child is eternally significant. The school is an inclusive-model school, welcoming and educating all students, together in the same classroom, whether they are gifted, typically developing, or have any special education needs. Some of our students have Autism, Down Syndrome, learning disabilities, dyslexia or other reading disorders, and/or ADHD, while many other students have no identified disability. Our teachers are trained in both special education and general education. The educational program is individualized for each student. Multisensory and hands-on activities are employed for every lesson. We use Charlotte Mason educational philosophy. We serve students from PK through 12th grade in a 4-day school week. The director and founder is an adjunct professor at UNT in the special education department and has over 30 years experience in the field of education.
