Mission Statement

The Sumner B. Sheets Museum of Wildlife & Marine exhibits is created and maintained so all who pass this way can enjoy the magnificent wildlife legally harvested by Sumner Sheets in a lifetime commitment to the sport of fishing and hunting around the world.

Description

Display of nearly 200 species of fish and animals from around the world, several of them world-class specimens, featuring outstanding taxidermy. Guided tours, individual specimen fact sheets, and lesson plans available for several of the exhibits.Emphasis on the contributions of the sportsman in enhancing wildlife habitat and populations. Also, sea shell picture creations and other samples from what once was the world's largest private shell collection. Theater offers variety of wildlife films. Gift shop deals exclusively in wildlife-related items at variety of price ranges.
