Mission Statement

The purpose of Bluebonnet Equine Humane Society is to improve the lives of equines by educating and helping owners, assisting law enforcement agencies, rehabilitating abused and neglected equines, and placing them into safe, permanent homes.

Description

We are a non-profit horse rescue. We work through foster homes to rehabilitate and then rehome horses, mules and donkeys who come to us. Most of these animals have been abused, neglected, or abandoned and the rescue gives them a new chance at a good life. We work with law enforcement officers and other agencies to investigate reports of neglect, educate owners, remove animals when necessary, and prepare court cases.

People often forget how horses can be neglected. If I can help and make a small difference it would be self rewarding to see these horses or any animal be loved and go to a safe home. Thank you
