Mission Statement

Hospice is a promise... that is given to those who are facing a terminal illness... a promise for hope, comfort, and peace of mind. Hospice offers patients and families an alternative to routine home care and repeated hospitalization.

Care Choice Hospice helps patients cope with loneliness, isolation, and fear, and helps family and friends express their emotions. We actively listen to patients and their families express their concerns regarding health and family matters.

Description

  • Our volunteers play a vital role in meeting the needs of patients and their families.
  • Our volunteers can improve the quality of life for patients by relieving isolation and boredom, and by normalizing day-to-day living as much as possible.
  • Our volunteers can work directly with patients and their families, can choose to work with our bereavement coordinator, or can work in our Care Choice Hospice office.
  • Our volunteers help patients, their caregivers, and their family with recreation issues, video and book library, arts and crafts projects, entertainment, religious resources, life chores, genealogy studies, and many other things that enhance quality of life.
