Mission Statement

<> Over 50,000 seniors live below poverty level in San Diego County. These brave, needy senior citizens fought our wars, paid taxes and handed down a legacy of freedom, hope and opportunity. We cannot let them suffer in their fragile seniors years. We provide "Senior Food-for-a-Week" Emergency Food Boxes FREE the 3rd week of the month for seniors whose income is $985 or less per month. This sustains them until their next Social Security check arrives . . . most of these seniors much choose between purchasing food and medicine each month. Our food boxes are distributed to seniors who have signed up and qualify at participating Senior Centers, Salvation Army sites and pantry programs. See our website for a list of distribution sites.

The Angel's Depot helps senior citizens in San Diego county who live below the poverty level. The Angel's Depot provides food to these wonderful Americans who gave of themselves so freely when they were young for the protection of the rights we all enjoy today. These same proud citizens are in need of our support today & many of them are suffering in silence. It's truly a shame when the elders of a society are cast aside and their basic needs are ignored by the very society they fought to protect. The seniors that receive this food are so grateful. This organization is a dedicated, hard-working group striving to provide food for as many seniors as possible. There are many opportunities to help: hold a food drive at your school, office or in your neighborhood; sponsor a senior food box for $25/month; donate your time and/or money; visit the website & purchase an Annual Angel or an item of Angel Gear; send e-mails with info & the website to your address book; help w/ office, etc.
