Our mission: To help people breathe easier, one person at a time, through education, detection, care and treatment.
Description
Founded in 1906, The Breathing Association has a long history of serving the community through prevention and treatment of lung health disease and promotion of better health.
What we do:
Asthma care - direct help for children and adults afflicted with asthma, in
addition to asthma management educational outreach programs.
COPD services - direct services and educational outreach for adults with chronic
lung disease.
Free Lung Health Clinic and Mobile Medical Unit - free health care, exams,
prescription assistance, and medical equipment for the most medically vulnerable.
Medical Home Energy Assistance Program - the only program in the country
that provides energy assistance combined with health care services for lowincome
individuals.
Tobacco Cessation services - "Quit for good" smoking cessation programs.
