To promote social welfare by ensuring the availability of individual comprehensive health care plans to residents of the state of Missouri; especially for those who would not otherwise be able to obtain such coverage, without regard to condition of health of such individuals.

Description

The Missouri Health Insurance Pool (MHIP) provides health care benefits for Missouri residents who are unable to obtain standard health insurance because of their high-risk health conditions. The MHIP emphasizes managed health care. The Plan administrators work with a select network of physicians, hospitals, and other health care providers to help MHIP enrollees obtain access to quality health care benefits.
