Mission Statement

The Duluth Art Institute enriches daily life with dynamic, innovative arts programming that upholds excellence and promotes active community participation.

We are a multi-service, non-collecting 501(c) 3 nonprofit visual art center achieving our mission and purpose through three primary programs for artists and the community at large: exhibitions, education and artist services.

It is the Duluth Art Institute's goal to help build an economic and social base in which art and artists can flourish. Toward that end, the Institute serves as a center for exhibition, study and production of visual art. The Duluth Art Institute achieves its mission and goals by providing exhibition and educational programming in addition to services that benefit local and regional artists.
