Description

The Municipal Volunteer Program for the City of Roanoke in Virginia began in 2004. The program created a centralized contact for both interested and already serving volunteers along with the local government departments. Between July 1, 2012 and June 30, 2013, MVP had nearly 2500 volunteers who served over 45,000 hours.
