To inspire the public by preserving and interpreting Olana, Frederic Church's artistic masterpiece.
The Olana Partnership is the non-profit support arm of Olana State Historic Site. Olana, located in Hudson, NY, is considered one of the most important artistic residences in the United States. It is the last and perhaps greatest masterpiece created by Hudson River School painter Frederic Edwin Church (1826-1900). Church designed and built his Persian style fantasy on the same hilltop where, as an eighteen-year-old student, he sketched spectacular views of the Catskills and the Hudson River alongside his mentor Thomas Cole.
The Olana Partnership supports Olana by delivering a wide range of innovative educational programs and events throughout the year for visitors of all ages, producing ground-breaking exhibitions, and helping with the conservation of the house, collections, and surrounding landscape.
