Wildfires are devastating communities across California, causing more than 300,000 people to evacuate their homes and threatening many more. The Camp Fire in Northern California -- one of three blazing across the state -- is the most destructive in state history. We want to ensure that, if you are in an affected community, you find access to shelter. And if you are looking to help with disaster relief efforts, you know the most effective ways to contribute.
Dedicated to the continuity of the great tradition of classical music through the artistic promotion and career development of exceptionally gifted professional musicians.
Young Artists International, Inc. was founded in 1991 by Eduard Schmieder and the late Lord Yehudi Menuhin - the legendary violinist and humanitarian. Together, they have united great musicians of different philisophical views in the belief that classical music and exceptional artists must be supported in innovative ways.
Each year, Young Artists International presents their annual "Laureates Festival," now in its 9th year. The festival features the internationally acclaimed iPalpiti Orchestra under the direction of Maestro Eduard Schmieder. Prize-winning talent is selected from countries throughout the world, and these artists are brought to Los Angeles (as well as many other international festivals) to perform for one week of classical music in venues such as The Ford Amphitheatre and The Disney Concert Hall.
Young Artists boasts an alumni base of over 200 musicians who have gone on to achieve great success. Some have secured Concertmaster positions with the world's most prestigious symphonies and chamber orchestras, others have secured recording contracts and have become relative stars in their own countries.
The annual Summer Festival draws sold-out crowds every year. Hosting this week-long event is no easy task. Without our dedicated staff of volunteers, none of it would be possible.
