Mission Statement
The CCAG exist to promote the participation and empowerment of people with disabilities.
The main goal of CCAG is the empowerment of people with disabilities to promote their inclusion in society at all levels as citizens with equal rights and access to services to reduce poverty levels and mobilizing their potential for the benefit of the nation as a whole
Description
Care and Concern Action Group is an Organisation of people with Disabilities in the Volta Region of Ghana, working towards the achievement of independent living, Cross-Cultural Understanding, Disability rights, Access, Social Inclusion, HIV/AIDS sensitization, Health and education of the Disabled child.
This organisation was formed in September 1993but it became operational in 1996 September due to cash strapped problems. Currently, CCAG has a membership of 6000 cross disabled persons across the region.
Some of our activities are:
Running an Eye Care Programme
Outreach Programme on Disabilities
Awareness Creation Programmes on Disabilities
Workshops and Seminars for disabled persons
Skills Training Programmes.
