Stage Left produces and develops plays that raise debate on political and social theatre.

Description

Stage Left was founded in 1982 by a group of Goodman School of Theatre/DePaul University graduates. It has resided in the Lakeview neighborhood for 25 years and is Chicago's second oldest ensemble-based theatre (Steppenwolf is the oldest). Stage Left develops new plays through its Downstage Left program as well as producing a season of three full productions and one festival.
