Description
The Orlando School of Cultural Dance (OSCD) was established in 1989. The philosophy of OSCD is that a positive self-image is essential for the total development of our children, the leaders of tomorrow. Since our inception, OSCD has been teaching African / Caribbean dance to students ages three to adults. Since then we have added other disciplines, such as ballet, tap, jazz, modern, music theory, percussion (variety), fitness and "Rites of Passage". We believe that the arts provides a channel through which our students can grow by learning about their culturalheritage. Dance in particular, frees the spirit and brings joy to oneself as well as others.
