In addition, the Lawson Center provides a community focal point for events and showcases the area’s rich boating heritage.
The Lawson Boating Heritage Center is primarily a museum devoted to displaying watercraft. historical photographs, and memorabilia significant to life and recreation on Lake Chautauqua. We also provide educational opportunities for children and adults with lectures, seminars and hands-on boat building classes. We are open to the public on Wednesday afternoons, Saturdays and Sundays. Special tours may be scheduled at other times. Our "season" is May through September.
