Queens Council on the Arts (QCA) strengthens the professional capacity and skill sets of local artists and creative citizens resulting in their cultural transformation and economic empowerment. Constituents develop fresh insights, create and implement innovative solutions to national arts challenges, as well as those that are unique to the local, immigrant-based economy, and to serve as change agents within their home borough. This is accomplished through: 1) professional guidance honed by a staff with exemplary and varied expertise and dedication to the borough; 2) in-depth, interactive programming; 3) a wide range of technology resources; and 4) active local community team-building, both on-the-ground and virtually. The result: a committed, informed and empowered local Queens creative citizenry that represents and includes the concerns of its many diverse members.
