Mission Statement

Founded in 1974, California Women Lead (formerlythe California Elected Women's Association-CEWAER) is a nonpartisan, nonprofit association dedicated to providing leadership training, policy workshops, publications, and networking opportunities for women interested in holding or supporting women in elected and appointed office.

Description

Our nonpartisan philosophy allows women and men of any political affiliation to become members, thereby differentiating itself from other similar associations. In addition, we do not endorse any candidates, nor lobby on behalf of any issue. We have positioned ourselves as the premier association in California for providing the leadership and networking skills necessary for women running for or who are currently in elected or appointed office. Our organization allows women to build relationships with other women of differing political parties.
