Mission Statement

East London Business Alliance (ELBA) builds the connection between businesses and east London, making community investment easier, more effective and more rewarding.

The face of east London is changing and ELBA’s 100+ corporate partners are at the heart of these changes, providing more than 14,000 volunteers in the last year to support over 500 organisations in the community, and putting hundreds of local people into City and Canary Wharf jobs.

Description

ELBA is the leading social regeneration charity in east London. It facilitates corporate investment from over 100 companies - including UBS, Christie's, Barclays, Royal Bank of Scotland, Linklaters and Aviva - into community programmes spanning the boroughs of east London.

ELBA manages the London Legacy 2020 programme which has been designed to secure a lasting legacy from the 2012 Games for east London communities, through projects that cover skills and employability, sport participation and culture.

A registered charity, ELBA has over 20 years of experience in enabling successful partnerships between business and the community. In the last year, ELBA helped place over 700 people into work in east London through its award-winning employment programme, delivered over 14,000 business volunteers into the community, and worked with over 500 local organisations in east London.

Our mission is to create possibilities to bring about positive change in east London by channeling the wide-reaching resources and influence of the private sector to address key areas of need.
