Mission Statement
After almost 19 years of service to San Diego orchestrating the giving of 500,000 hours of community service from kids 5-25, Kids Korps is gearing up to create the next generation of volunteers.
Together we are on a mission to transform youth volunteerism in San Diego. Our vision is to become the youth volunteer organization for schools, service clubs such as Girls Scouts and Boy Scouts, religious organizations, community organizations, and individual families.
We have 1200 projects each year that we are continually expanding. In addition to the 350 agencies we work with, we’ll begin a push to create locally driven projects that allow our youth to serve where they live and take ownership of their community and their future by getting involved, volunteering, and ultimately becoming leaders. Our goal is to have a generational impact on our region and weave volunteering into the fabric of our society. We are cultivating the next generation of volunteers, philanthropists and community leaders. We are creating Generation Volunteer (GenV). Cultivating a Generation of Volunteers
Kids Korps USA is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit youth volunteer organization that engages young people, ages 5 through 25, in community service. Our mission is to instill in America’s youth the spirit of giving while providing valuable education in leadership and responsibility. Kids Korps partners with national and local non-profit organizations such as Habitat for Humanity, Special Olympics, Head Start Preschools, children’s hospitals, homeless shelters, senior centers, animal shelters and environmental agencies.
Kids Korps offers more than 1,200 hands-on service opportunities each year, bringing lasting benefits to the community and developing leaders for life through youth volunteerism.
