Mission Statement

The Warming House provides a safe, supervised, and substance-free atmosphere where teen ownership and decision-making opportunities thrive. Our trained staff encrouages growth and acceptance, promotes communication, and helps develop the skills of high school aged teens.

Description

The Warming House Youth Center is open to high school aged teens six days per week, two shifts per day. Teens are welcome to come and go as they please, and to use the Center in whatever way best suits them. Whether playing pool, painting the walls, or chatting on the couch, teens build healthy relationships with staff and peers.

Warming House programs meet teens' expressed needs and interests, and encourage them to explore and express themselves creatively. The Warming House is a safe and substance-free environment where teens have ownership and decision-making opportunities. Most activities are chosen by the teens.

The Warming House offers a variety of programs to teens including: support services, a youth leadership board, discussion groups, creative arts, recreational programs, volunteer activities, community service opportunities, movie series, multi-cultural events, and band concerts.
