Mission Statement

Preserving and Protecting the Colonial Spanish Horse. Bringing History and Horses to the Public.

Description

Our organization actively preserves and promotes the Colonial Spanish Horse. This is the original horse that was brought to the Americas by the early Spanish explorers. This breed of horse later changed the cultures of the Native Americans, and also helped the Eastern settlers when they became part of the western expanison. We take volunteers into the community along with some of the horses for interactive educational presentations, this helps educate the public and also provides for enriching expereinces for many at-risk youth. Our organization is also active in land recalmation projects which return native species ofplants and trees to reclaimed farm land.

Long term projects include theraputic horsemanship classes and experiences for at-risk and disatvantaged youth, as well as a "Museum of the Horse" where local community leaders and other resources can partner with our organization to provide informative and enjoyable learning opportunities for children.
