Mission Statement
The LBJ Foundation was created to raise funds for the LBJ Library & Museum and the LBJ School of Public Affairs in support of scholarship, exhibits, archives, programs, and other initiatives that are not covered by the National Archives. Since the LBJ Library was dedicated in 1971, the LBJ Foundation has helped to preserve and protect the historical materials in the Library’s collections; makes them readily accessible to both scholars and the general public; increases public awareness of the American experience through relevant exhibitions and educational programs; and serves as a center for intellectual activity and community leadership.
Description
The LBJ Foundation supports the mission and programs of the LBJ Presidential Library in Austin, Texas. One of the services provided by the LBJ Foundation is The Store at LBJ - the museum store serving visitors to the museum.
