Mission Statement

The Cambodian Children's Fund (www.cambodianchildrensfund.org) was originally founded in 2003. The Cambodian Children's Fund ('CCF') Phnom Penh facility was initially established as a safe house for Cambodia's orphaned, abandoned or abused children, providing secure shelter and nutritional meals within a caring environment. The facility has grown and currently serves 185 children. This number will rise to over 200 children with the recent opening of a 2nd facility. Two further facilities are planned to open within the next 18 months.

Description

The fast growing and progressive nature of the CCF has increased media interest, with features in several U.S. magazines, newspapers and TV programs. The CCF provides a top-level educational program for all children, including local language reading and writing, multi-level English classes, computer training, social studies and community awareness. An in-house health care center provides children with blood testing, medical treatment, dental services and an extensive vaccination program. The CCF also places importance on training in the local arts and culture (painting, dance, drama and music).
