Mission Statement
THe Enright Ridge Urban Ecovillage is an intentional community leading urban revitalization and sustainability in Cincinnati.
Our 65 share community-supported agriculture (CSA) project is part of our larger Farm Project. The objective is to increase our local food security and engage people in learning to grow and share food.
Description
The Enright Ridge Eco-Village in Price Hill has been working for years to create a sustainable city neighborhood, and the urban farm project is part of that vision. In February 2009, they provided the impetus to organize a community-sustained agriculture project, known as a CSA, headquartered at a former florist’s greenhouse at 824 Enright Avenue. The CSA unique in that members of the CSA all work together to grow and distribute the food raised in this co-operative urban agriculture project.
We partner with a local free clinic and recent immigrants to the US, as well, and are working to develop a stronger social enterprise, focused on the "triple bottom line".
