Mission Statement

The San Francisco Theater Festival (SFTF) produces an annual event celebrating local theater artists. In 2011 for our 8th annual festival we're moving to Fort Mason Center with 10 venues both indoor and outdoor. The festival promotes the region's many live-stage theaters to a broad and diverse audience, from small children to adults, in order to increase appreciation for, and build attendance to, the Bay Area's culturally and artistically-varied theater groups.

Description

The San Francisco Theater Festival presents an amazing one-day, FREE celebration of live theater. Over 100 Bay Area theater groups and solo performers perform on 10 stages, indoors and outdoors. It is truly a peoples festival, casual, fun, and exciting. From Shakespeare to hip-hop, improv, comedy, drama, plus 10 shows for children.
