Mission Statement

LEITI is an organization founded by an act of the Liberian legislature. It's mission is to track proceeds from the Mining, Oil, Forestry and Agriculture industries, and make sure they are used for the benefit of the Liberian People.

Description

LEITI also verifies payment reports from companies in the extractive industry sectors, with government reports of payment receieved ensuring that all applicable fees are paid in full and reach the government of Liberia without interruption.

In addition to increasing transparency in the extractive industries, LEITI informs the Liberian people of the proceeds made from the country's natural wealth, allowing meaningful political participation and awareness of the resources at the disposal of the Liberian government.
