Mission Statement

ANATOLIAN ARTISANS (AnARt) is a non-profit, tax-exempt (501c3) organization with a unique mission to:

  • Provide sustainable economic benefits to low-income artisans in Turkey through product development, marketing and training.
  • Raise awareness about arts and culture of Turkey by organizing exhibitions, festivals, fairs, conferences and seminars.

Description

AnARt assists artisans in four areas:

  • Product development: Provide technical training to introduce new designs reflecting traditional culture or improve the quality of existing crafts.
  • Marketing: AnARt helps artisans to market their products in the US.
  • Training: AnARt provide entrepreneurship and micro business training for the low income artisans to start their own businesses or improve their existing business practices.
  • Cultural Programs: AnARt organizes events, conferences, exhibitions to raise awareness about the rich cultural heritage of Turkey to create marketing opportunities for the artisans.
