NAMI Greater Mississippi Valley is an affiliate of the largest grassroots mental health organization. NAMI does not provide treatment or counseling; rather the organization focuses on education, advocacy and support, filling an information gap for peers and families.The organization provides at no cost the following:
nationally-developed education and support programs delivered by trained volunteers who also have lived experiences with mental health conditions,
advocacy with local and state organizations, and
community education through outreach and speaking engagements.
NAMI Greater Mississippi Valley serves eastern Iowa and western Illinois, centered in the greater Quad Cities area.
